KMS Expert talks at ICSSP 2013
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – KMS Technology, a provider of offshore development services, kindly announced that Mr. Vu Nguyen, KMS Director of Software Engineering, delivered a talk of “qEstimation: A Process for Estimating Size and Effort of Software Testing” at the International Conference on Software and System Process (ICSSP) held in San Francisco, California, USA on May 18-19, 2013. The conference attracted over 60 researchers as well as IT professionals in the area of software and system process.
This white paper, proposes our approach, namely qEstimation, to estimating the size and effort of the software testing work by measuring size of software test case based on its checkpoints, preconditions and test data and the type of testing. The testing effort is computed using the Test Case Point count of the testing activities.
“ICSSP 2013 is a leading conference in software and systems processes. It was my honor to share our qEstimation process and experiences in applying qEstimation for estimating size and effort of software testing activities with the distinguished audiences of researchers and practitioners in software and system processes. I hope that the software community finds our method helpful, and maybe, some researchers and practitioners help extend it and make it more useful,” said Vu Nguyen, KMS’ Director of Software Engineering.
