Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – Buu Nguyen, KMS VP of Technology, was invited by Microsoft to speak at the Microsoft Technology Conference 2011 on Thursday March 17, 2011. The conference took place at Hanoi Hotel in Hanoi, Vietnam and attracted about 150 participants. At this event, Buu spoke about HTML5 support in Internet Explorer 9 and the ASP.NET MVC 3 framework. IE9, released on Mar 14th, 2011 and ASP.NET MVC 3, released on January 13th. These are two of the most anticipated software releases coming out of Microsoft recently.

“The release of IE9 marks a significant milestone in the history of the web, for it is the first time many features of the HTML5 specification are supported in all major web browsers,” said Buu Nguyen, VP of Technology at KMS. “HTML5 is not a hype, it is here to stay. Software companies and web developers should invest on HTML5 expertise as soon as they can to unleash the full power of the web and deliver great value to their customers. Researchers at KMS have been advocating and conducted training about HTML5 internally for many months because we firmly believe in its future. I am very pleased to have a chance to share our research to the software development community in Hanoi.”

“The ASP.NET MVC 3.0 framework comes with a great brand new view engine, Razor, which I believe will win the heart of many web developers who want something more lightweight, fluent and concise than the Web Form view engine. ASP.NET MVC 3.0 also contains many important features and improvements such as dependency resolution, declarative helpers and model validation, which make the life of developers significantly easier. KMS engineers have worked with ASP.NET MVC since the preview release of ASP.NET MVC 1.0 years ago and we are very pleased to see the framework become better and better with time.”
